Terms of listing

Last updated: [OWNER: date of publication]

These terms are between you (the business applying) and Paul Kirby, 142 Liddell Way, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 9UZ ("we"). Contact: paulk@camperservices.co.uk.

1. What the directory is

Campervans for Sale UK Approved Suppliers lists campervan businesses that we have approved against our published criteria. "Approved" means a business met those criteria when we checked. It is not a guarantee of the quality of any work, and we are not a party to any agreement between a business and its customers.

2. Applying and approval

  • You apply online, starting from List your business. A person reads every application.
  • We may ask for changes, approve or turn down an application. We don't have to give reasons, but we usually will.
  • You must be approved before you can pay. Paying doesn't make you approved, and the package you choose has no effect on approval.
  • You confirm that what you send us is accurate and that you're allowed to use the logo and photos you upload.

3. Packages, price and payment

  • Packages and prices are shown on the list-your-business page. All prices are per year. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged.
  • You pay by card through Stripe. Your listing goes live as soon as the payment succeeds.
  • Renewal: your package renews automatically each year at the price shown when you paid, unless you turn renewal off. We email you 30 days and 7 days before it renews.
  • If we move your listing to a different package, we email you. The new package shows straight away, nothing is charged or refunded then, and the new package's price applies from your next renewal.
  • If a renewal payment fails, the listing stays live until the end of the year you already paid for, then comes down. It goes back up if a later payment succeeds.

4. Placement

Paid placement affects the order of listings and some home-page spots, as explained on how placement works. Every paid placement is labelled. We don't rate, review or rank businesses on quality.

5. Your listing

  • You can edit your listing from your dashboard at any time. Changes show straight away; we may review them afterwards.
  • You must keep your details accurate and lawful. Don't post anything misleading, offensive, or anyone else's content without permission.
  • You give us permission to show your listing's text, logo and photos on the site and in links to it (for example, on Facebook or in search results) for as long as it is listed.

6. Cancelling

  • You can turn renewal off in your dashboard at any time. Your listing stays live until the end of the year you have paid for, then ends. You won't be charged again.
  • No refunds. Payments are not refundable, in whole or in part, including when you cancel part-way through a year or don't use your listing. The only exception is a discretionary refund under section 7. This doesn't affect any right you have by law that can't be excluded.
  • You are buying as a business, so the 14-day consumer cancellation period doesn't apply. [CHECK: legal review. Basis: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 4 defines a consumer as someone acting "wholly or mainly outside" their trade or business. A sole trader buying a listing for their business is a trader.]

7. When we can pause or remove a listing

We can pause or remove a listing, without notice if necessary, if:

  • the business no longer meets our criteria;
  • the listing is inaccurate, misleading or unlawful;
  • we receive credible complaints we need to look into;
  • a payment is disputed or reversed.

We'll tell you why, by email, unless the law stops us.

If we remove a listing, we may, at the directory administrator's sole discretion, refund part of the fee for the remaining whole months of the paid year. We don't have to, and a refund in one case doesn't mean one will be given in another.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for lost business or profits. [CHECK: legal review of this clause.]

9. Your data

How we handle personal data is in our privacy notice. Visitors' enquiries are sent to your team email with the visitor's address as the reply-to. Use them only to answer that enquiry.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change that affects a package you have paid for. Changes take effect at your next renewal.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. [CHECK: if you are based in Scotland or Northern Ireland.]
